A Special Guest with a Powerful Message
United Public School had the great honor of welcoming Dr. Kaniamuthan, a respected pediatrician, as the chief guest for our Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony 2024–25. His presence brought meaning and depth to the occasion, enriching the celebration with valuable insights on parenting and child development.
Wisdom Rooted in Experience
Coming from a humble farmers background, Dr. Kaniamuthan shared not only his medical expertise but also his personal experiences. This unique combination of knowledge and life lessons allowed him to connect with the audience in a meaningful and relatable way.
A key takeaway from his address was the importance of not comparing children—whether in academics, skills, or milestones. Instead, he advised parents to observe their childrens behavior, attitude, discipline, and moral values, which are more reflective of a childs character and growth.
Dr. Kaniamuthan highlighted how the role of a parent has evolved in todays fast-paced world. He emphasized that parenting is not just about providing resources but about being emotionally present, spending quality time, and communicating openly with children.
Avoid Mobile Dependency in Children
One of the most critical points made during his speech was the misuse of mobile phones as a distraction tool for children. He cautioned against giving mobile devices to kids for the sake of convenience, explaining that excessive screen time negatively impacts a childs development, behavior, and communication skills. He encouraged parents to opt for interactive play, reading, and real-world experiences instead.
Simplicity That Spoke to All
What truly made his address stand out was the clarity and simplicity with which he communicated these vital messages. Whether it was a parent, teacher, or grandparent in the audience, everyone was able to relate to his words and take something meaningful away from the session.
An Impact That Will Last
The audience was deeply engaged and inspired. Many parents shared their appreciation for the practical, heartfelt advice shared by Dr. Kaniamuthan. His insights reminded us that while academic achievements are important, a childs emotional well-being and character building are the true foundations for lifelong success.
